Why You’ll Love this Course:

Although many clinicians find providing supervision to be a richly rewarding professional activity, it can also be a source of stress and challenge when supervisors are unprepared for potential sources of conflict. This course will teach supervisors how to set up a supervision relationship that prevents the emergence of many common supervision challenges and cultivates a positive alliance with supervisees.

Course Description:

This course will provide practical instruction to clinical supervisors in how to create a collaborative and clarifying framework for supervision from the outset of the supervisory relationship. Key qualities and elements of the supervision agreement will be discussed, along with ways to avoid common pitfalls that could lead to later ruptures in the supervisory alliance. A template is also provided to course participants that they can adapt for their own supervision purposes.
