Why You’ll Love this Course:

Supervising, one of the most rewarding of all clinical tasks, can also be one of the most complicated. Figuring out how to prioritize among supervision tasks and how to help your trainees be more effective with cases that are not going well are common supervision challenges. In this course, you will learn about the benefits of a straightforward measurement plan, both for improving the quality of supervision as well as clinical outcomes for your supervisee’s clients.

Course Description:

This course will evaluate the benefits of incorporating measurement into supervision through the lens of evidence about patient outcome, supervision ethics, and social justice. Participants will learn about ways to measure key client outcomes, trainee competencies, the quality of the supervisory relationship, and their own skills as a supervisor. In addition, participants will understand how to identify and quantify burnout and vicarious trauma for themselves and their supervisees. Lastly, participants will leave this course with an individualized, multilayered measurement plan that fits their current needs and context.
